I guess there was a good reason the new server couldn't have been prepared ahead of time. That would seem to have been a better approach.
I know that the BOC isn't any kind of business, but 4 days offline is starting to seem a bit long. I hope they've actually been working on it over the weekend. Charles. |

Charles, I have only a guess here since I haven't gotten this from Mike P. ....... but many web sites are used by online businesses during the week days, primarily. If the people doing this had that in mind (not fully knowing the nature of a site like the BOC) they may have assumed that this work could take place over a weekend, with no problems for the users....... Monday being the critical day for it being "back up and running"!
Are they working on it over the weekend? Sure hope so and I'll bet they have been. Lots of work in doing this! Would it have been better for us users during Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday?.... Sure.... Maybe, but what the heck.... it will soon be completed and we'll all being using it once again. Mean time....enjoy the food fight!  Cheers.
